Well that isn’t true, I love working. But I haven’t been able to sit down and post some of the stuff I’ve got backlogged through the end of June. Plus I like to be online for 45 minutes after I post so that I can interact with all you people, toasters, and hyper-intelligent chipmunks. Plus it’s weird since I haven’t gotten myself into trouble since that “MILF, DILF, and GILF” article. I’m overdue for something mildly disturbing. But I work before I play, always and always.

Since you asked, why yes, work is going extremely well! I got the product rolled out into the store and yesterday’s sales ended up being 31.7% of the total section revenue which would be about 13% of the total department revenue. The company promotes itself in being a 6% sales attribute if that helps with perspective. Honestly though, I have been consistent with this turnout regardless of what volume, region, or chain for the past 14 months straight. The occupation really is a blessing and everything I had prayed for (though still havent found Jessica Alba’s single younger sister on my invoices yet).

And to think, if this career opportunity would have occurred 6 months later then I would have continued on with Music Theory and Composition. Still have my Charles Ives studies, drafts regsrding parsimonius voice leading within an augmented-diminished substituted foundation of neo-Riemannian Theory, and a bunch of marimba and chamber music stuff. Instead, premium delicatessens and business khakis.

That episode of Doug in which Patty Mayonaise taught Doug Funny about the KISS principle changed my life!

I have a job, and I’m blessed here, where I can both WOW my coworkers and Management as well as mess around on Oppo and actually go Play like a Dirthead should.. It would take a significant amount of money to get me to leave. (seriously.. $80,000 cash? I’d yump!)

Second shift sucks but just being a worker bee has been refreshing. I do feel that urge to go and be more but looking at my stress free environment and how the majority of my coworkers have 30+ years in? I quickly forget.
